Spinal cord injuries are associated with impaired or loss of sensory or motor control. As a result, patients with spinal cord injury (PWSCI) have limited functional outcomes after rehabilitation. Multidisciplinary teams, comprising of various health professionals, including medical officers, nurses and physiotherapists have to set patient-specific rehabilitation goals in conjunction with the patient, thus following a patient-centred approach. The aim of this course is to equip rehabilitation professionals with the evolving global trends when managing patients with spinal cord injury.
