This course draws from information covered in level 1, and dovetails with course material in level 2 to select therapeutic motor control and pilates exercises which would be most relevant to specific upper and lower quadrant pathologies.
The assessment taught is used as a clinical reasoning tool, from which a balanced programme is designed for the patient/pathology in question.
Clinical application using this tool will be continued and MCP programmes designed for various pathologies not yet covered in L1.
Further Pilates exercises covered include matwork, reformer, spine corrector and cadillac.
The exercises previously taught in L1 are taken to a more advanced level of strength and control.
All exercises are demonstrated and practiced across all pieces of equipment.
Case studies are discussed and relevant exercises demonstrated to consolidate theoretical and practical components of the course.
These will include voluntary case studies of patients from course participants of L1.
