Applied Psychoneuro-immunology - Expanding Conciousness

Course description

What is Psychoneuro-immunology?

Psychoneuro-immunology (PNI), is the study of the interaction between neuro-psychological processes and the immune systems of the human body.

PNI takes an interdisciplinary approach, incorporating psychology, neuroscience, immunology, physiology, genetics and pharmacology.

Course description

Over 500 satisfied clinicians have taken this course with Clinical Solutions during 2020 in South Africa and in several countries around the world.

In a series of talks we will explore the chemistry which mediates the effects of mind states on the body: psychoneuroimmunology or PNI. The talks and demonstrations will show that we can attain optimal wellness and performance by familiarising ourselves with our temperament and personality traits; by being more present-minded; and through sensible, informed ways of living and behaving.

This course progresses through a unique journey of discovery.  The first part of the journey is the introduction to the functions of the brain and its integration with general body physiology. Thereafter after you will be guided through the mind states, their origins, and their influences. This leads into the next phase, which is the tools for intervention, designed to empower you to optimize your mind states and enhance body vitality. Finally, and unique to this course, you will be introduced to neurophysics - the study of the influences of consciousness on the environment beyond your own body.

Question - More about Neuromodulation:

Neuromodulation as an entity does not exist in any other form of coaching. It is a concept taken straight out of functional neurosurgery where we stimulate or suppress various brain areas to manipulate function. In the coaching context this intervention similarly stimulates of suppresses specific brain centres to elicit specific functional consequences.

Regarding mindfulness in the concept of the Triangles Model – slides 35 and 36 essentially summarize this. Out of the Core Elements we establish a mindful connection with ourselves and the environment. Thereafter, with increasing clarity, awareness, gratitude and empathy we neutralize the fear of tomorrow (Bravo) and the regrets yesterday (Charlie) – this is mindfulness in the present driven to contribute value, based on sensitivity and connection. Ultimately this expands into the timeless and spaceless energetic space as outlined in the Neurophysics module. This level of awareness in a timeless, spaceless energetic space with its influences on body wellness and upon the environment equates to fundamental Buddhist Principles.

Hugely inspiring, opened a whole new world for me!  Great presenter with a wealth of knowledge.  DR RONEL JORDAAN

Excellent. I really found the video and the information it provided fascinating. I thought I fully understood it, so was surprised at how challenging the MCQS was. Made me really think!  Excellent value for my practice.  AVRIL COWLIN, PSYCHOLOGIST

Very interesting content and helpful material to use personally and with my patients.  It helps us to develop into healthier human beings who are more integrated in ourselves and into the environment around us.  URSULA FROSCHAUER, PSYCHOLOGIST

This course has added to my existing basic knowledge of neuropsychology and helped me understand and appreciate the neurochemistry associated with psychological problems and performance. This understanding will assist me in my psychotherapeutic work with students who often need to overcome self-doubt. It will also encourage me to seek further training to improve my practice.  Excellent value for my practice.  NORDLIND CAZIMRA FOUCHE, PSYCHOLOGIST

The online studies are more convenient for my practice as trauma counselor for South Africa men & women in uniform. I enjoyed the nature nurture part and gained a great insight.  Excellent value for my practice.  HILDA LANCIA VAN DER MERWE, COUNSELOR
